the basic diggs

i am selling "the SS wandering pearl", my trusty home and travel van for the last 8 months.

basic diggs: 88 toyota hiace long wheel base, runs on LPG and petrol. 160 original k on it, which is low for this era of hiace, which are known for running into the 300k range and beyond. NZ new, bought from the second owner who had it for only a few months in auckland. the first owner used it for a painting biz on the north shore for over 20 years, and took great care of the van. i have kept up with service every 8-10,000 k. decent tyres, spare and jack, overall clean body, a teeny rust here and there, nothing eating in though, and i have been good about touching up the paint and little dings. don't let the LWB(long wheel base) scare you. the footprint of the van is barely noticeable as being any bigger than a car, so from the outside, it isn't a problem, and parking is easy. but the LWB makes the interior have just enough extra space to make the inside feel "big". just got it WOFed and REGOd, and she passed with flying colors. as a basic van, the pearl is awesome. but she is much more than a van now. i spent the better part of 3 months in auckland kitting this van out, and making it my home, and have been living in her for 8 or 9 months, happy as a clam. the interior is clean, no smoking inside, it is adapted and highly FUNctional from living in. check out all that she has to offer, and see if you are (wo)man enough to captain the wandering pearl...
